Weekly Update

Hi GCN Family,

I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophecy. (Peter, citing the prophet Joel, in Act 2:17)

When the Holy Spirit fills the church, all the division takes care of itself. I’m grateful to be a part of a church that professes that both men and women and are equally called, gifted, and anointed for ministry within the church. I pray: God, raise up more sons and daughters to stand on our shoulders. Help them to prophecy and see further to where you are leading us. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

This Sunday, I’m excited to continue our series, Practicing Resurrection. It’ll be a Mothers Day special and a little foretaste of Pentecost Sunday. If you’d like to prepare for that time together, go ahead and spend some time in Acts 2 and John 4. In the meantime, we have so much good stuff coming up at GCN:

All-Church Brunch this Sunday, in honor of Mothers Day. This Sunday at 9am. It really is for everyone, and it’s even more than just delicious food. We’ll be hearing stories from women in our church, celebrating generations of God’s faithfulness. It’ll be a special moment that you won’t want to miss. RSVP by clicking here.
Amen Etefa, our Summer Ministry Intern, will be joining us this Sunday! Can’t wait for her to meet you all.
Baby Bottle Campaign begins this Sunday. For years our church has partnered with Shady Grove Pregnancy Center to raise money for young moms in need. This Sunday, you can either grab a baby bottle and fill it with funds to return by Father’s Day, or you can GIVE ONLINE DIRECTLY by clicking here.
Grad Sunday is Sunday, May 26th! We’ll be honoring the class of 2024 in that service. Then, plan to stick around for a bit afterwards for some cake and other yummies on the patio. We love our grads!
