    I was thinking this morning about Jesus’ words at what we now call the Last Supper.  In Luke’s account of that Passover meal, when Jesus breaks the bread he says to His disciples that as often as you break bread “do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19). We tend to forget, don’t we?

  • Through the Wilderness with God

    I was walking our dog Millie early Sunday morning before services and saw daffodils coming up in the neighborhood! You know what that means! From the hard, cold ground of winter flowers will be blooming soon. From the gray, cold, seemingly lifeless winter, trees will be budding, migrating birds will be returning, and the earth will be coming to life everywhere, reminding us that what appears to be lifeless in the winter season isn’t lifeless at all!

  • Easter Invitation

    What are the two times of the year that people are most likely to come together with a church? You got it — Christmas and Easter! When you think about it, what better times to come together with a church than those two times, when pastors and churches in their messages and music have the privilege of celebrating the Good News of Jesus’ birth and His death and resurrection! And our prayer is always that someone’s attendance on those high, holy days will be the opportunity for God to speak and God to work and God to save, that may change a life forever!
