• The Afterglow of Sunday

I woke up this morning, and as is my habit, I endeavor to set my mind on God and seek His help and give Him thanks before even rolling out of bed. My mind went immediately to the good message I heard yesterday from Kelly, taken from Jesus’ invitation in the Matthew 11:28-30 — “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” As a result of hearing that message, I woke up Monday morning resolved anew to share the day with Him, to work together with the Savior in living this day to the glory of God, to share the burdens that I so often take on myself without seeking His help. I rolled out of bed knowing that He was with me and that nothing that came my way today was beyond His capabilities.

  • Knee High on the Fourth of July

  • Come, Lord Jesus

    Dec 21, 2015

I’m noticing a down turn in the numbers of e-mail, texts, and phone calls I’m getting. We must be coming down the stretch to Christmas. In the spirit of this last week before Christmas, let me keep it simple. Let’s pray, “Come, Lord Jesus.”

  • Love Never Fails

We had a women’s ensemble sing a beautiful song on Sunday morning — When Love Came Down. That’s what happened at Christmas! “The Word became flesh” (John 1:14), the God who is love came!
