A New Thing
Well, Sunday morning was a beautiful time together! The weather couldn’t have been better for our 8th annual outdoor service up on the parsonage lawn. Mike Cavaliere was back leading worship, some old friends of GCN showed up, a new family that drove all the way from Mexico was here, and we had the opportunity to worship, to pray for each other, to hear God’s Word out in the world he created, and to share a lunch that included the best burger I’ve had in a while! Thanks to all who made a great Sunday morning happen! As always, we pray that God is used and is using that time together to encourage you and strengthen your faith.
One of the other thoughts that I had following that service was that I’m thankful for a church that’s willing to do something different, to change things up and try something new. That’s always characterized GCN and we can be grateful for that! I believe there are some new things on the horizon! Speaking of new, I love that Word from the apostle Paul that we heard on Sunday — “Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (II Corinthians 4:16).
I hope your short week is off to a good start, that you survived Terrible Traffic Tuesday, and that you’re experiencing the presence of God in the midst of it all. See below for some important notes as we head for the second Sunday in September! See you on the Lord’s Day, Lord willing!
