Faith Promise
As part of our overall support for missions, GCN provides a Faith Promise to provide financial support for world evangelization through support of the World Evangelism Fund.
What does my Faith Promise giving do?
It supports the World Evangelism Fund. Perhaps the best way to describe the World Evangelism Fund is by listing some of the things it provides, including:
- Outreach to approximately 150 world areas
- Support for more than 740 missionaries/volunteers and more than 270 missionary children
- Training for more than 20,000 national workers
- Support for more than 300 retired missionaries
- Support for students in almost 50 Bible colleges and seminaries and 3 vocational and training colleges
- Support for more than 60 medical clinics and hospitals
- Evangelistic broadcasts in 35 languages to persons in 80 countries
- Development of resources and helps for pastors and churches in more than 14,000 congregations
- Base support for a variety of ministries, such as Nazarene Compassionate Ministries and the JESUS Film Project
In short, the World Evangelism Fund enables Nazarenes to join together to preach, teach, and make disciples around the globe. Giving to the World Evangelism Fund allows your local church to partner with more than 14,000 other Nazarene congregations to make great things happen for God's Kingdom!
The mission work in the Nazarene church depends entirely on giving above and beyond our tithes and offerings. Our goal for fiscal year 2011 is to raise $85,000. (Note: Our fiscal year begins March 1.) You can make donations at GCN or online through GCN's PayPal account. Just enter "Faith Promise" in the message box when you make a donation.
