RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES ON A MISSION
We're excited to share with you the Families on a Mission calendar. We hope that this will become a helpful resource for you and your family in the year to come. Each month has a different theme for you to focus on with your children using prayer prompts, fun challenges, conversation starters, interesting facts and other faith building activities to help you connect with your kids! This month is PATIENT AUGUST.
We hope that you can adapt the activities as needed based on your child's age, or feel free to just use the ones that you find work best for your kids and family! We will send this printable calendar to you every month or you can download it here each month.
We have also included a Sermon Notes for Kids resource page that we invite you to print out each week to help keep your child engaged during the Sunday morning worship time if you are worshipping with us online or in person.
We hope you enjoy these resources and hope they help you and your family as you seek to disciple your kids!
Jesus called His followers to make disciples of all nations — and that includes our own children. Our primary goal is to provide a loving, safe place that offers each child an opportunity to receive Christ as his or her personal savior. We provide age-appropriate biblical teaching from birth through grade 5. And we take their safety seriously; all of our teachers have completed an application process, including a background check. Classes are taught by two teachers at all times.
Children are welcome in the sanctuary with their parents during the 9:00 & 10:45 am Sunday services. There are activity bags available for all children as well as "Kid's Sermon Notes", which help them follow along in the service. During the 10:45 am service, children K-5th grade are dismissed before the sermon to the Life Center to watch "Kids on the Move" together and have a brief time of connection before returning to the sanctuary for the sending.
When restrictions are lifted, infant and toddlers can attend the nursery and preschool classes, and elementary age children can atttend Sunday school classes, and Kids Church. During the week children in grades 1-6 can attend Bible Quizzing, which gives an additional way to study a book of the Bible. In the summer time, we have Vacation Bible School and District Children’s Camp, including outdoor activities, crafts, and great chapel times, provide fun summer activities. We also encourage our children to take part in music ministry.
