We live in a culture that is time-starved, often strapped with credit debt and other financial obligations, and increasingly overweight. Yet God offers a solution to these issues through good stewardship of what He has given us:
Our Time. “Pay careful attention, then, how you walk — not as unwise but as wise — making the most of the time, for the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:17)
Our Resources. “If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving — large or small — it will be used to measure what is given back to you.” (Luke 7:38)
Our Body. “Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a price. So glorify God with your body.” (I Corinthians 6:19-20)
We encourage those in our church body to discover ways to be stewards of their time, resources, and bodies. We encourage time stewardship through offering opportunities to serve others within the church body and those around us. We encourage financial stewardship through giving opportunities to meet needs locally, in the community, and around the world. We also offer classes that assist people in paths to get out of debt. Encouraging people to live healthier lifestyles is the newest stewardship, where we are exploring ways to care for the bodies God has given us.
